Used to be San Francisco. The eponymous spires are the pillars of the Golden Gate. The settlement is around both sides of the Golden Gate, and the inner settlement is controlled by a hilltop fortress called Traz. The old basin is fertile land; the hills off to the sides are dangerous, but there's good stuff there.
