Notes

Shibal is classic case of terraforming failure. The native flora and Fauna of the planet are not digestible by the Shibalans. The Shibalans are not digestible by the flora and fauna. Doesn't keep the bugs and predators from trying. According to their historical tradition, the colony ships were disabled before this minor detail was discovered, so Shibalan's have made the best of it, and import food from as many different worlds as possible as well as building orbital farms. The Shibalan merchant marine fleet is gigantic, and can be found almost everywhere in the cluster. The republic is known for sheer tenacity where intellect has failed. The Shibolans are so dependent on everyone doing their part to help the whole system and therefore the cluster, they don't understand people attempting to subvert the natural order.
