Lucius Holt

Hive World

Lucius was born deep within the Tarsus Hive on Scintilla.

Scavenger

He was abandoned by his parents to fend for himself at the age of six. Growing up on the streets, he was forced to make rather unsavory friends to survive, and was practically raised by the local organized crime syndicate. That all changed when the men from the Black Ships found him. He was selected for Astropath training, and after years of reconditioning and indoctrination, it seemed his life was headed in an entirely different direction.

Press-Ganged

Lucius was a passenger aboard the transport Swiftsure, en route to Port Wander (where he was to be assigned to Battlefleet Calixis), when it was attacked by the pirate raider Ektor's Eye. He was taken captive, and shortly thereafter lost to a smuggler in a card game.

Criminal

Lucius's first real "post" then, was aboard the unregistered ship Royca, where he was surprised to find he actually felt at home. He had asked himself for weeks why he hadn't done more to prevent his capture and confinement by the pirates and smugglers, until he forced himself to accept the fact that these were his people, and he felt far more comfortable around them than he ever had with the Imperial Navy. He spent the next three years serving as Astropath aboard the Royca, until after one too many close calls with the authorities, the ship's owner decided the time was right to retire. The aged ship was sold and its crew broken up and set ashore.

Endurance

The latest challenge for Lucius was finding a new ship without advertising his presence (as a wanted fugitive) to the authorities. Fortunately he was noticed by House Machariel and judged sufficient for service aboard the Solo Drakban.
