Carl goes to Magda's tent and tells her he knows what she is and why. He offers to try and take her back, though he can't promise it will work. She doesn't believe it's possible.

Carl walks up the hill into the light, and vanishes. A few of the townsfolk think they've seen a miracle.

Champion, hoping to redeem himself somehow, goes back to the demon with the meat puppets, and kills it at the expense of his own life. He was done with his life anyway. Experiment: failed.

Magda feels like this town is unlikely to work out for her and slinks off into the moor.

Hike runs the town, and hands leadership over to the Archbishop. She tells him that she'll accept a reward but doesn't require it. He offers her any boon she cares to ask for. She says, "Hrm."

Inga stays on to run the constabulary.

Egon's flock grows, but the Archbishop tells him to leave with his flock. They go looking for the other wells. Some of Egon's followers arrange for Matthias to end up chained to the rock in Nachtburg, where he dies badly.
