Pre-Session: Cleo chose Night and I’ve heard rumors of werewolf packs having turf wars in the city parks (fail).

Session: Strange things are afoot in the Storm Court. One of the courtiers, Talifor by name, has been acting strangely. He has been out of phase with the Court’s movements and has recently been increasingly absent, suspiciously so. My Tinkerbells have alerted me to his location in some Cheapside hole of ill-repute. I walk up to the Rakshasa who pretends to be a human bouncer. Knowing that it’s an opium den, I’m unable to get any information but I see Talifor getting high with Malachi. I’m drinking from my flask when a Rakshasa bouncer comes to eject me. Malachi and Talifor are no help, so I throw some “pixie dust” and make my escape. As I’m leaving the door, three large vampires of Eastern European cast enter the opium den.

Noting this, I go looking for Cleo to see if she’s interested in this development. I meet her, Judith, and Oscar at her apartment and they are very interested in the vampires. A spirit is in the kitchen with Judith and Cleo. I hear about Oscar meeting Throckmorton and I am agreeable to “being in the area” when he meets the Wizard in Trafalgar Square tomorrow.

The next day, I watch Lord Throckmorton arrive in his surrey and converse with Oscar. I yearn to know what the conversation is about, but I’m too far away to gain any jist of the conversation. When Oscar leaves, he hints that Lord T is looking for Malachi because of a book that Malachi is associated with. I follow Oscar and Judith to the stables where Malachi has been hiding. I see Sir Reginald Bromley hightail it down the alleyway, away from where he’s been dunking Malachi in order to question him

Oscar questions Malachi, who grumbles that “this is what happens when you save someone.” Who holding his strings? Blood magic is better than regular magic What does he hope to gain from holding on to the information? He doesn’t have the location of the book yet, but it’s somewhere on Fleet St What does you character worry might happen? That he might become the Blood sacrifice.

Malachi learns that Oscar is pursuing this matter with Lord T because of Oscar’s master’s cooperation. Malachi asks to stay with Oscar until the meeting, who agrees begrudgingly. Judith asks about the book, but Malachi says that “he will just know.” Oscar suggests that returning the book to Sir Bromley would be the best way forward.

Oscar asks Judith to accompany him as he finds the book. I follow behind at a discreet distance. Malachi wants Judith to help him find the book. After various investigations, it looks like the book in in the Masonic Temple. I try to get inside, but they “don’t let darkie in” (Power +1) and Malachi realizes that I’ve been following him. I resume watching from the street.

When Malachi exits the area, I follow him to the Randy Thrush, a low brow inn, and watch him take a drink with Sir Bromley. Malachi tells him that the book is in the Masonic Temple, in the Sanctum on the second floor. Bromley is disheartened but agrees that Malachi has discharged his debt. Malachi continues to admit that Lord T is also looking for the book. Sir B was unaware and is distraught that Malachi is also going to tell Lord T about the book, but he accepts Malachi’s situation as graciously as possible.

Sir B says that “a theft must be answered by a theft” and promises a swift answer. Sir B leaves. I move to speak with Malachi, who is rude and unrepentant. I leave him with my bill and escape. He goes to Throckmorton Manor but I do not follow and return to the Hotel Avalon.

I try to get some information about Mortal politics from Lady Arwell but I fail...it’s been a long a stressful day...and I’m at a loss. I’m banished from her presence. (Wild +1)

End of Session: I didn’t learn about Mortal politics, so I need to figure out how to arrange to owe Lady Arwell to gain what I need.
