Bevin found Exuperata on the walls and decided to express his disdain by slapping her across the face! She was shocked but attempted to speak reason in an attempt to get him to back off. He advised her to bring up any problems with his men to him before engaging them as she did before and forgave her after she kissed his ring.
Corr buried his feet in the ground and held his arms out at his sides.
Exuperata and Senica found him and decided that it was time to talk to him. Senica tried to speak to him, to elicit any response at all, and finally lashed the reins of the Horse around one arm and then 'uprooted' him. Exuperata upends a bucket of water on him and Senica tried to objectively examine the situation while Exuperata attempted to slap some sense into him. She opened her brain to his 'treeness' and then decided to be moss on the tree, laying down next to him. She got up a few moments later and told Senica she thought she was moss before walking away.
Senica rode out with the gang to see if her ruse had worked and went out searching for more Danes. They found another scouting party and fell upon them like wolves. They decided to take their heads and go back to Caerlegion.
Corr was with the chickens in their pen, sometimes plucking at the ground.
Exuperata began discreetly listening for any signs of dissent from Bevins people but there didn't seem to be much consternation among them. She spoke to the people, making sure everyone had what they needed.
Senica was on her to the stables when she ran into Bevins very best scout leader, the same that had ordered her off her horse and then ordered her horse stabbed. Senica made a rude gesture in his direction and made some noise about beating him on killing Danes.
Exuperata went back to bevin, again requesting more men in light of Senica's martial success. Bevin wasn't very amicable to that but he agreed to let Exuperata lead his men. He would stay behind and look over the hold. Exuperata was reluctant but willing and so she and Senica rode out with a sizable gang, slaughtering more Danes and taking more heads for their wall. Exuperata was interested in seeing how effective their work had been and Senica went to work in getting into a perfect ambush position.
What she determined after some time was that their perfect position was between a scouting party that was returning and the main Danish force.
