Nuolas of Halan

Nuolas of Halan is a character in Harn: Clawing for Power.

Biography

Clan-head of the premier family of the Stimos district and client of clan Pesed, Nuolas is a cautious man. Recently, his brother Ezarn of Halan (district Legar for Stimos) brought to Nuolas’ attention the wild story of Kalidor of Hugern, a mercenary claiming to have information about a secret silver mine operated without license by the Miner’s guild. While Ezarn (who is himself heavily invested in the Miner’s guild) initially dismissed the story as the man’s attempts to avoid the noose for crimes committed in Stimos, Nuolas was less sure and has begun making discreet inquiries. He has exercised his Senatorial privilege and stayed Kalidor’s execution, instead having him held in a cell in Caer Stimos until his story can be corroborated. Nuolas is a member of the Consolidationist faction.
