Special Rules and Bonuses

  • Spacecraft: While they are optimized for space operations, these ships are transatmospheric and can enter and leave atmosphere and gravity wells if needs be. While in atmosphere they may operate as either a skimmer or flyer at the pilot's discretion, and gains all benefits and drawbacks of those vehicles. If operating as a flyer, they need to move at least half of their cruising speed at all times or they will crash.
  • Breaching Vehicle: These assault boats were designed to breach hulls and deliver their boarding parties directly to important sections of enemy ships. To that end, they are equipped with melta charges and las-cutters, as well as pressurized docking corridors tipped with powerful magnetic boarding clamps. With a successful Challenging (+0) Pilot (Space Craft) Test, the pilot can affix the assault boat to the hull of an enemy ship. It takes 4 Full Rounds to burn through a ship's hull with the breaching gear.
  • Reinforced Hull: When a vehicle with a reinforced hull receives a Critical Hit, halve the result and round up. This quality does not affect rolls on the Critical Hit Chart generated by Righteous Fury.
