Bors Tovon

Bors Tovon is an Arch Militant in Jason Marker's Rogue Trader campaign, played by Jacko.

Origin Path

Forge World

Bors was raised upon the Forge World of Holmur, part of the Toothed Gear constellation in Segmentum Obscurus within the Calixis Sector. His parents were adepts of the Cult Mechanicus and saw raising children as an important duty in maintaining the operation of the forges.

Stubjack

The large child grew into an even bigger man and Bors' size was an advantage that he came to appreciate. He joined the PDF of Holmur, wanting to test his mettle against others to prove his worth. Completing his training left Bors with a void that he thought he could fill off his homeworld and elsewhere in the Imperium.

Zealot

While Bors became skilled at being a gun for hire, he was still a devout practitioner of the Cult Mechanicus. 'Flesh is weak' was a favorite saying of his in the guttural language of Holmur whenever a new wound allowed him to find a reason for cybernetics. The weakness inherent in blood and bone would be replaced with the precision strength of plas-steel and nano-fiber. (Blessed Scars)

The Hand of War

Being a human in the vastness of space is never easy for anyone and Bors is no exception. Renegades swooped in while Bors was aboard a military vessel in transit to the Expanse, the Medway. Few survivors walked away from the fight that followed but Bors was among them and he carried blood on his hands and hate in his heart. (Hatred (Pirates) and Weapon Training (Heavy Bolter))

Endurance

Bors continues, still, to accomplish what he set out to do many years ago on Holmur. He will show that there are few men that are his equal and give praise to the Omnissiah and the Emperor by defeating their enemies wherever he finds them.

Description

A hulking brute of a man, Bors is as muscled as he is tall. The muscles covering his frame are obviously augmented and the scars from the implantation procedures prove it. His bald pate lets his deeply sunken, dark eyes brood under a heavy brow and does nothing to obscure the jowls that typically frame a frown. With a face like a hammer and usually armed to the teeth, Bors is a visibly uncomplicated man.

The Gun

"The sound it makes is nothing compared to the silence it brings."

Bors is known for the heavy bolter he lugs around, it's main barrel casing and receiver coated in a deep red alloy sheathing, something meant to ward off harm to the action of the bolter's spirit. While rarely seeing a need for it aboard the Solo Drakban, Bors still carries it strapped to his back with a somewhat complicated harness. He doesn't know the specific classification of the weapon as he found it while in the Expanse, some have suggested it's most likely an Armageddon-pattern Mk-3 weapon, but Bors and some of his closest allies can testify to its effectiveness.

Arbitrator Solonius Hubb - Individual, can lower Availability x 3. - 40 points

Solonius Hubb has been a member of the 4th Ward, D Section arbiters for over a decade, trying to reduce the corruption and cartels that have popped up around the docking yards the ward abuts. Contraband is always an issue, narcotics in particular, and Hubb has tried his best to reduce the numbers and power of the cartels. Though many of his fellow arbitrators have been dissuaded from doing so, either by coercion or bribery, Hubb has used third party 'problem solvers' to prevent himself from becoming a target.

Bors has worked for Hubb as one of the aforementioned problems solvers in three instances, each resulting in a group of stimm pushers being convinced to move their business or depart the station. Two of these instances resulted in a fairly high body count amongst the stimm dealers and Hubb has come to use Bors as a hammer when a scalpel just won't work. In return, Bors tends to keep whatever stimms he finds and Hubb has enticed him with discounted product in the past.

Imperial Navy crew and officers, formerly of the Medway - Group, Trusted, Military Connections - 200 points

These are the men and women who survived the pirate attack against the Medway when Bors was aboard the ship. The prowess and tenacity that the Arch Militant displayed has not been forgotten and they all remember his help in repulsing the pirates. Though he was a passenger, the crew feel that Bors helped the Medway as if he was one of her own. A portion of the crew has remained on Port Wander over the years and Bors maintains a cordial relationship with them. Though no one would call Bors friendly, he remains respectful to those that have fought and bled with him.
