Born the lesser child of a Rogue Trader clan Marneus served on a family ship as a marine.
During a voyage through the warp, a derelict transport ship was detected. The captain decided to investigate. Horror ensues and the ship barely makes it away. Marneus being related to the captain take command and manages to bring the ship and what is left of the crew home.
