Game log for the 2018/09/23 session of Scum and Villainy: Retrograde, as taken by Joe
The crew of the Retrograde, a refitted Firedrake bought at auction, arrived in the Procyon cluster in search of adventure. Grasping at a ripe opportunity, they joined the small fleet of ships that applied for and received a letter of marque from President Oleb, leader of a break-away Republic of Evieee in the Holt system. The Republic is fighting for its freedom from the oppressive yoke of the Malklaith clan of the Hegemony and the iron fist of the Miners’ Guild.
While meandering through the markets and flesh pits of Sonhandra’s twilight zone, the crew collects the following rumors:
-- Hegemon privateers in the Iota system
-- Near the closed jump gate in the Holt system is a forgotten space station filled with pharmaceutical and military research. It is in a strangely decaying orbit and will soon exit the system for a long tour of the void. -- A Hegemon treasure fleet has left Brekk loaded with trade goods and taxes. Because of the Malklaith’s poor financial position, the fleet is full of lumbering cargo haulers and a few old destroyers. Easy to cut one of the haulers out and loot her before the old tin cans can catch up.
