Twisted Sister, Fucked Up Family

Game log for the 2016/11/27 session of Wanderers, as taken by Joe

Theme Song: Twisted Sister - Burn in Hell Secret: Spoonman bought the taco truck from its previous owner in blood.

I’m in the Jukebox singing bad karaoke. In walk a bunch of dudes wearing orange robes. None of them have lips. They start proselytizing and no one is having fun. Fliss and Korbeaux get up in their faces. One of the guys hisses something and SPD look like they’ve seen a ghost and they take a seat. Looks like he told them something they’d never considered.

Eventually one of them comes to me and starts talking about the Sun. I make an excuse about needing to sing. The lipless dude fucks off, and Fliss goes with him. I see somebody talking with Spoonman about a job and try to make a deal with him, but Spoonie isn’t hiring. He’s going to the Tangle and I figure I’ll follow along to see what I can pick up.

Four days on the road later, we’re in the Tangle. The Tangle sits in miles of desert, a pile of twisted gantry and miles of piping. The well cap sits like a house in the rock and sand hemorrhaging oil to give birth to tar sands.

The guy, Gravel, tells Spoon that the pumping unit’s heating coil is broke. Without it, they can’t ship tar sands. Someone needs to fix the coil but the unit’s still full of flammable tar sand. I offer to help, which will help me pay Spoon back, but he says no again. Spoon gets the guys he needs from Gravel. Spoon wants to do the job slowly and safely, but Gravel is impatient.

Ace bends over and shows his battle thong, but I tear my eyes away and ask Spoon for advice and he tells me that Grey Rat needs some help. I take the band and head over to the Rat (+1 forward). A couple of hours later, gunfire erupts over by Ace’s vehicle.

Some chick (Melanie) is blasting away at the car with a shotgun. Ace bails out, pulls his magnum, and faces the screaming woman as she continues to fire. He raises his weapon and pulls the trigger, tagging her in the neck. Rat walks up and puts his hands on her as the SPD gaggles along behind him. They help carry her over to the Taco Truck, singing a popular marching tune.

Spoon isn’t happy to be interrupted and tells her that she can “Live ugly or die young” as he cauterizes her wound. The locals are aghast. Turns out that she’s the Daughter of the Seer. Fifi explains it to us while Spoon gets back to work. The Seer is a blind older woman who basically runs the place because her word decides how Varnegath will rule. Rat decides he needs to go tell the Seer and the locals tell him to go to the Watering Hole. We follow him there and some other guy tells him to check the Red Dunes 2 or 3 hours out in the desert. We all go back to the Taco Truck. Fifi’s trying to defuse the sitch, but Rat spills his guts to a local boss named Traipse.

Fifi tries to get Rat to shut up but Traipse catches on. Traipse pulls his pistol and takes charge of the sitch. Rat proceeds to puke truth all over the place. Traipse is pissed at everyone and marches off toward the gantry. Ace buggers off at high speed. Steve n’seagulls - The Trooper

Rat and a little girl named Kensington, a nine year old with an assault rifle, lead the way into the desert with us following. She stops us at one point and we have to go forward on foot because of scorpions. I leave three to watch the vehicles and the rest of us go forward, following Rat and the girl.

Rat disturbs some scorpions but manages to get away. We open up and spread scorpion guts all over the Dunes. Kensington says that we have to move. She takes us to a hooch where the Seer is sitting.

Back at the vehicles, Fifi is interrogating the vehicle guard about the water. The guard gets twitchy and weapons come out. Ringo is closest to the water and is covering Fifi. Spoon just appears and starts some shit about the water, but they correct him. “It’s not your water! It’s their water!”

Spoon starts making threats. But the guard is confused. Spoon threatens to shoot them with the high tech weapon and let Fifi carve them up with her knife. They hitch the water tank to Fifi’s bike and let them go.

At the hooch, the Seer tells us that a storm is coming, but she knows that Rat already knows that. We ride back to the Tangle and Vernegath’s folks start a fight over the water. There are more of them then there are of us, so we get a little bloodied but there are no real injuries. I go Pack Alpha and have to beat Ringo down but they listen to me and stop fighting.

Vernegath is impressed and we talk about work. He offers 3 barter to find Ace. We take one barter now to gas up.
