Victrus Karellius

Victrus Karellius is the third son of a cadet branch of the Karellius Family . The Karellius clan has postings throughout Segmentum Pacificus. Victrus's parents and siblings are stationed in Hydraphur. Victrus spent his childhood in the cozy confines of the Naval prep schools and then the Naval academy. The clan planned on Victrus gaining eventually gaining a posting in Segmentum Obscurus. Unfortunately, their attempt at influencing postings in Segmentum Obscurus roused the ire of the Comnenus clan. The angered clan shifted Lieutenant Victrus to His Divine Majesty's ship Medway, a missile collier ship that runs a routine route pipeline from Belis Corona to Cypra Mundi. Three months into his commission, the Medway was attacked by pirates. Civilian passengers (Bors) that had found extra space in the lower decks were teamed with expendable lieutenants to repel boarders. When the Medway limped into Cypra Mundi, Lt. Victrus requested transfer to any and all of the vessels performing anti-pirate duties. All transfer requests were denied, thanks to a Comnnenus personnel officer. With hatred of pirates in his heart, Victrus resigned his commission, and upon his families advice, sought employment with an ally clan, the Machariels.

expected to follow in the family footsteps, his lieutenant's cruise found him one of the few survivors of a collier ship that had been beset by pirates. Consumed with hatred of pirates he resigned his commission and went to where he could hone his skills in the killing of pirates.
