Senica was visiting Cissa with a small gang to bring tidings of mercantile opportunities between their village and Caerlegion. Olondus, the head man, was cagey and doubtful but Senica had brought gifts. She floated the idea of Cissa's people moving to Caerlegion for protection and opportunities. Olondus decided to allow Elbin, a villager, to accompany Senica back to Caerlegion as an emissary.

Cor was giving services at the spring when Totia came to hang out and listen. He promised to give her private services tomorrow if she'd leave the other 'good' citizens alone. She was happy to do that but it was clear Cor had to hold to his word.

Exuperata was having an argument in her chambers about the state of the community. There are many unhappy villagers. Nouanti was making a lot of noise about the watchtower but Exuperata was able to convince him it'd be spoken of at length later. She also tasks people with tearing down the toll house.

Bran was out looking for wild cattle with a small gang of woodsmen and hunters. Pickings were slim and he and his men were in Mercia. Bran was about to brain a man with a rock as his men sneaked through a field when he heard someone shout an alarm. He killed the man who shouted the alarm but one of his gang, Caddog, was getting dragged away. Bran moved to free him and signaled his men to bring the thunder. They murder the one holding Caddog and the other two ran away but were run down. Bran quickly rounded up a few cows for his troubles and began heading back.
