Paetros of Fandin

Paetros of Fandin is a character in Harn: Clawing for Power.

White Pete was also known as White Pete.

Biography

Paetros was an underboss under Koral of Geldryss before Liakos of Malthain took power. 'White Pete', as he was nearly universally referred to, ran protection rackets and mugging in western Coranan. His nickname came from the fact that he was an albino, with the telltale milky white skin and sharp blue eyes. A hit performed by the Malthain crew in his turf saw White Pete severely punished by Koral, creating a feud between Pete and Kraebor of Malthain. White Pete and members of his crew attempted to assault Kraebor and other Malthains repeatedly with varying degrees of success that most often resulted in failure.

White Pete met his end at the hands of one of his own, Talzak of Uldin, aka Zak Farthing, or so anyone would say. In truth, White Pete was fatally stabbed by Liakos, who had been magically disguised as Zak for the slaying.
