* Nimharax, the Sword of Kings, generally agreed to be legendary. Nimharax appears in the oldest written stories, depicted as a weapon and source of authority. However, accounts differ, describing it variously as a two-handed sword, bastard sword, or dirk. Current scholars have concluded that Nimharax might have been a real sword, wielded by an ancient king, but that it was used thereafter to lend legitimacy to later rulers. Bards trying to glorify their King (who had been a bandit up until he drove out other bandits and called his helmet a crown) would claim that he wielded Nimharax, lending authority by association to the regime.
