Captain Zolla, formerly of Battlefleet Calixis, is a relative newcomer to the fleet of House Machariel. Recently recruited at Port Wander, she had been a Commander in the Imperial Navy captaining reconnaissance and augur picket ships. After years of being passed over for promotion due to her lack of political interests, she had passed for captain but not for gentlewoman as they say, she resigned her commission and set out to the Expanse to find her fortune. While some of her colleagues describe her as perhaps too cautious, ''patient'' is a better term for her. She prefers to observe enemies from afar and weigh her options before committing her ship and crew, and prefers guile, cunning, and trickery as weapons over her macrobatteries. When the fight is joined, however, she is fully committed and every bit as dangerous as any other fighting captain in the fleet.
