The old order was overthrown by the Worker's Party, who retained the old security forces in place and kept the old head of the secret police. This has let to great tension on the streets. It was a velvet revolution; the Worker's Party has the Archduke Piotr Igoshin under house arrest.
The revolution has sidelined Archbhishop Raskolnikov of the Orthodoxy. The Worker's Party has no love for the Orthodoxy and the Orthodoxy opposes revolution.
