Victrus Karellius

Origin Path

Noble-born: Victrus Karellius is the third son of a cadet branch of the Karellius Family . The Karellius clan has postings throughout Segmentum Pacificus. He was raised on Hydraphur, where his father is in charge of the port's security.

Savant: Victrus spent his childhood in the cozy confines of prep schools and then the Naval academy.

Duty Bound: The clan planned on Victrus eventually gaining a posting in Segmentum Obscurus. Victrus gladly accepted their proposal to assign him to a battleship stationed at Cypra Mundi. Unfortunately, the attempt at influencing postings in Segmentum Obscurus roused the ire of the Comnenus clan. The angered clan shifted Lieutenant Victrus to His Divine Majesty's ship Medway, a missile collier ship that runs a routine route pipeline from Belis Corona to Cypra Mundi.

The Hand of War: Three months into his commission, the Medway was attacked by pirates. Civilian passengers (Bors) that had found extra space in the lower decks were teamed with expendable lieutenants to repel boarders. When the Medway limped into Cypra Mundi, Lt. Victrus requested transfer to any and all of the vessels performing anti-pirate duties. All transfer requests were denied, thanks to a Comnnenus personnel officer.

Renown: With hatred of pirates in his heart, Victrus resigned his commission, and upon his families advice, sought employment with an ally clan, the Machariels. Upon hearing of the Solo Drakban's firing upon pirates, he requested a berth on her. As fast as she can find pirates, he intends on sending them to the God-Emperor.

Description

Victrus is around 6'1", and 92 kilos. He is not a strong man, but he is fit, quick, and agile. His blonde hair is cut navy regulation short, lest it turn into a curly mess. His blue eyes reveal a pleasant personality. When the subject of piracy arises, the irises pale, and his voice loses all warmth. His hatred is cold.

Imperial Navy crew and officers, formerly of the Medway : Most of the officers and crew of the Medway have formed a bond of brotherhood due to the pirate attack, and try to help each other out, but not at the risk of jeopardizing their own careers. The survivors have "adopted" the passengers that fought alongside the crew in repelling the pirate attacks. Since the passengers are not potential barriers to promotion, the group is more willing to help them then other naval officers.

Clan Karellius: Clan Karellius currently does not have many resources devoted to the Koronus Expanse, this is partially why they sent one of their own to help Clan Machariel. Reassigning parts of Fleet Pacificus to the Koronus Expanse is not something they are willing/able to do at this time. However, smoothing and creating supply lines for the Solo Drakhban is something the clan will help with.
