The Geruk system is notable for its wide habitable zone, granting it three seperate 'Goldilocks' planets. Versprei is the most densely populated of the trio though the total population is only in the hundreds of millions. The society of the Vers people is rigorously defined by profession with citizens dedicating themselves to one skill set and striving to achieve complete mastery of it. While this has led to a relatively peaceful history and allowed them the opportunity to develop slipstream technology, it has made the Vers wary and disdainful of others while also being stubborn and resistant to change. While inexperienced with warfare, they have nonetheless built a technologically advanced military capable of defending their space from foriegn invaders. The Vers have colonized the other two garden worlds and have made extensive use of the asteroid belts and gas giants that inhabit their system.

The Vers in Geruk likely think that Harridan is filled with backwater bumpkins, Hew is a dangerous wasteland and Ya Kahba are savages only tolerable for the possible business opportunities. All of these places would be better off if they were more like the Vers.
