Mario Altuzzi is a character in 7th Sea: The Search for Salvation, played by Munin in the past.

Physical Description

Mario is a thin man of books and scholarly pursuits. His slight hunch from sitting at a desk for the last 30 years is evident to those with a keen eye and the spectacles he wears over his dark eyes have had their arms re-bent and re-attached numerous times. Still, he keeps himself neat, his dark hair combed back but frequently falling into his vision. The streaks of gray in his hair are worn with pride.

Biography

1648 Mario has been doing his best to learn the secrets of the universe his entire life. Devoted to education and science, he was one of the youngest professors to ever teach at Dionna University. He has a deep love of physics and astronomy and secretly believes science will be the salvation of mankind, not prophets. Mario's faith was largely upset by the death of his wife, a woman he courted and married while he was still a student, and their three children. They were returning from seeing relatives when their ship was caught in a storm and capsized. All four drowned. The sailors who lived to tell the tale said they had never seen a storm come so quickly but that was cold comfort to Mario. He quit the university and dedicated himself to the Explorer's Society ever since, always searching for something that would give him answers or perhaps even solutions to his family's demise.
