Oskar Salo

Oskar Salo is a character in 7th Sea: The Search for Salvation.

Physical Description

Captain Oskar Salo is a rugged, athletic man in his forties. Hailing from Vesten, he is a man of above average height with a muscled frame. He bears a wreathe of tattoos over his upper chest and shoulders, Vesten runes done in blue ink. His long blonde hair is typically left loose save for two braids that are joined together behind his head, keeping the rest of his hair bound. He wears a full blonde beard as well as a braided mustache that reaches well past his chin. Salo bears the scars of saber and knife slashes as well as the puckered crater of a firearm wound low on his stomach.

When out and about, Salo wears loose breeches, tall, leather boots and a simple cotton tunic along with a knife belt that holds a dirk, three daggers and a broad cutlass that bears some resemblance to a Crescent scimitar.

Biography

Not much is know about Salo. Captain of the Vendel ship 'Skidbladner', a large merchantman vessel, he's purported to have a discerning eye for the ladies when in port and has made knowing (and finding) pretty girls to be a matter of expertise. He was found in a villa on the north end of Dionna, though the owner of that villa remains unknown. Salo introduced another Vendel captain, Michael, as someone who had taken on a pretty, young Vodacce woman as a passenger months ago. It's unlikely that woman was Evelina as neither MIchael, nor his purser could confirm her distinctive scar.

Salo kidnapped Daria Calabretta di Dionna but was quickly confronted and defeated, along with some of his sailor subordinates, in Dionna. He was left unconscious in a manse.
