An idler of some distinction, he is often found in the company of fellow career profligate [[Tiergal of Asarn]], youngest son of Senator [[Melvid of Asarn]] and former owner of Usel the Swift [Coranan #107]. Karad’s decades of extravagant spending and significant debt have stretched the clan’s treasury almost to the breaking point. Karad’s nephew Astur is currently commander of the Esuron cohort of the Coranan Legion. When Karad can be sufficiently motivated (and is sufficiently sober) to attend Senate proceedings, he sides with the Expansionist faction.
